So based on last night's rankings, here's what I think we will see on 11/24:

If Weber beats Montana, Montana beats MSU, and everyone else wins out:

1. NDSU
2. Weber
3. JMU
4. SDSU
5. Sac State
6. UCA
7. Furman
8. Montana


If Montana beats Weber and everyone else wins out:

1. NDSU
2. JMU
3. SDSU
4. Montana
5. Sac State
6. UCA
7. Weber
8. Furman


I could see JMU staying at the 2 even if Weber wins out, but I really don't think it'll happen. I think last night was an "if the season ended today" poll, and I think another top 10 road win for WSU over Montana will catapult them to a top 2 seed. Why the committee didn't rank them ahead of the Dukes last night already after they already have two top 10 wins, I'm not sure. But it had to be close, and another top 10 win might move them ahead.

Secondly, I think Sac is going to drop another game or two without their starting QB. They were terrible without him last year, and I could see them dropping one or two. This would open the door for the winner of UM/MSU (assuming UM loses to WSU) to grab the 8. I feel pretty confident that both Furman and UCA will be seeded somewhere 5-8 if they both win out. Look for the loser of the WSU/UM game to fill in another bottom seed if they win their remaining game. Finally, I think there's a good chance Nova or MSU grab an 8 seed if they win out and Sac state loses another game. Both would have 3 losses and would be ahead of ISUr, UNI, and the other non-power teams based on either record, SoS, or both.

My gut tells me that Montana is going to beat Weber and Sac will drop a game meaning we will see:

Ndsu
JMU
SDSU
Montana
UCA
Furman
Weber
Nova

In summary:

1-4 should be some combo of NDSU, JMU, SDSU, Weber/Montana if all win out.

5-8 should be some combo of Furman, UCA, Weber/Montana, or Sac/Nova/MSU (if the Bobcats win out)

Yeah that’s a real head scratcher for me. That and UCA over Montana, which I think bodes well for SIU having a great chance at making the playoffs. It appears the FBS W is getting a lot of weight.

Also UNH, JMU's only tough game left.

I have nothing against Richmond winning too and Rhode Island upsetting JMU at home to end season. Guess I just see Weber State as more likely team to lose

New Hampshire is a surprise. Jacks have a chance for some marquee wins the next 2 weeks.

Surprise isn't the word, having New Hampshire in the top 10 is a joke unless the committee already knows they beat JMU this weekend.

Jacks will get the short end even if they win out if JMU or Weber doesn't drop one.

New Hampshire is a surprise. Jacks have a chance for some marquee wins the next 2 weeks.

Fans should look at this as our chance to get in the playoff spirit a few weeks early and help solidify Jacks' seed, if not help them rise in rankings, as they'll face two teams who would be in field if playoffs started today.

Another point worth considering: Is Weber worthy of a top 2 seed if they win out?

Honestly, they will have the second best resume of the potential top 4 with 3 top 10 wins and no FCS losses. Jim's best win is either SBU or Nova, who are both not top 10. SDSU would have 1 top 10 win, and three more wins over potential playoff/top 25 teams.

Who is seeded 2-4 of those three teams, assuming all win out?

In an ideal world of Weber, SDSU, and JMU all win out, it should be

1. NDSU
2. Weber
3. SDSU
4. JMU

I know JMU would be 11-1 vs. 10-2 for SDSU but SDSU has a higher SOS and would have better wins. The chances this happens however is small IMO. And honestly there are only 5-6 schools who are any good this year.

Some good things happened yesterday for the Jacks seeding.

First, Kennesaw lost. The chances of the owls stealing a top 4 seed are non-existent, and they are highly improbable for a top 8 seed.

Second, Weber State won over Sac State. While the winner of this game was going to be ranked ahead of the Jack's on Monday no matter what, I think Weber winning is better for SDSU. The Wildcats still have a decent chance to trip up against UND and a huge game against Montana. Sac State likely would have won out after beating Weber if they won yesterday.

If the Jack's win out and Weber wins out, I don't see any way SDSU gets the 3 seed ahead of the Wildcats. Undefeated FCS with three top ten wins (UNI, Sac, Montana) vs 10-1 vs FCS with top 10 win against UNI and top 15 win against ISUR.

The Jack's need Weber to lose to get a top 3 seed. But the good news is that if the boys win out, I do think a top 4 seed is pretty much guaranteed at this point. Gotta take care of business.

I am not a big fan of former faculty member Newt Ginrich so to see seven day wonder Kennesaw State crumble is news worthy. Hopefully we got a shot in the arm. NDSU pretty much had their way with YSU. I watched the first half, and YSU did seem like the team we faced a few weeks back. We got to improve to stay with NDSU.

KSU getting spanked by Monmouth. Monmouth up 45-14 with 5 min left in the 4th.

We are talking Kennasaw State the one who edge in the ratings ahead of SDSU. I would think this game takes them down a notch or two.

UNI may end up a seed. Almost a guarantee if beat Jack's. UNI has only lost to NDSU in MVFC play so far.
