Jacks have a 4th and 1 from the Illinois State 43. Jacks are going for it.

Christion keeps it and doesn't get it. Again, he's in the shotgun on 4th and short...

The Jacks might be one of the worst teams on 4th down conversions so far.

Christion's pass are off. First play of the game for the offense should have been a TD to Wieneke but the ball was overthrown, plus Goedert was open on a deep post that was delivered too high.

I'm not going to criticize the Jacks for going for it on fourth and short. It's an aggressive move that will keep the Redbirds thinking later in the game.

ISU picks up another first down on 3rd down. Jacks defense is the worst in the MVFC on 3rd down conversion % on D.

ISU driving now to the SDSU 24.

I hope we don't get on a 4th down "go for it " kick just because we got away with it with the Bison game.Like everything else, we seem to do things that worked in games prior to excess,and it ends up hurting the teams effort.
