Have we ever had a player that BIG before? I know we've had some taller, but that combination of frame and weight is pretty exceptional!

I believe Max will be preferred walk on. He comes from a huge SDSU family - his mother Mary is the current Chair of the SDSU Foundation.

Max appears to move pretty well for a kid his size. Awesome to see another local kid on board.

He's got really good feet and hips for such a big kid, notice how he almost always gets his hips squared to the defender that he is blocking rather than just using his size and leaning. I can't wait to see what a college weight program will do to him.

Once in awhile Ralph Ginn would snag a recruit out of Chicago, apparently he had some connections, but one of them was a guy named Dick Klawitter, who in the 1950's was a giant at 300 lbs. They had to special order a helmet to match his head size. Dick looked like a giant in street clothes. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears and played one year I believe. I dont know how this young man Howard would compare, but he too, appears to be a real giant.
