I'm guessing it wasn't a coach of a rival program, or at least I'd hope not...more likely a crazy fan who thinks they are helping the program and giving them a leg up by trying discredit an opponent.

I don't think anyone thinks it's a coach but considering the talk over on Bisonville is that SDSU only worries about beating NDSU, this is interesting.

Agreed. However, I think it's hard to call it "dirty recruiting" if it is a crazed fan and not anyone who actually recruits for the program in question.

They went out of their way to make it WAYYY too obvious that they're from North Dakota, which makes me 100% certain it's not an NDSU-related person... my guess is a USD fan.

Think about it, if you were going to make up a fake account for one of NDSU's coaches, would you go out and follow Zenner and Matt Zimmer as one if he dozen people? Not a chance. You'd try to throw everyone off of your scent.

I don't think for a moment this is a coach. this is some over zealous fan who is going to try and mess with recruits. As a program, I think NDSU keeps it pretty clean.

As discussed in other threads, Thayer Trenhaile will not be playing football next year so he can attend class in Sioux Falls. So what are your thoughts?

Trenhaile has used up his playing time. You are thinking of Sam Koob.

Two long-snappers that are probably vying for a starting spot are Seth Gutzmer (Columbus, NE) and Bradey Sorenson (Yankton).

My bad on the mix up between Trenhaile and Koob. The question remains, who's up for long snapper? Is Bradley Sorenson from Yankton still on the team? He was recruited last year as a long snapper, but I don't see him on the roster. Do we consider coaching up an athlete or linebacker to do this? Logan Backhaus was a quarterback in high school who threw for 2,241 yards his senior season. As a 6'4" 195 linebacker, he'd have the frame and arm strength to not only snap well, but make tackles down field. Any other ideas?
