Beyond self-centered.

Maybe he wants to make the announcement with as many family and friends around as possible? What better day than the 4th of July to make as many loved ones part of the process as possible?

If you've been around a kid who is being recruited to play college athletics, you'd know that they get asked constantly about where they going to attend school, and the people around the athlete are usually particularly proud of the fact that someone they are related to/know is in this situation.

Could it be possible that he is being inclusive rather than self-centered?

Yep, I would have been surprised about anyone other than NDSU. 5 National Championships in a row talks and before we start beating out NDSU for North Dakota kids we're going to have start beating them on the field first.

Exactly! Beat NDSU and the recruits will consider the Jacks, until then they will go to the Bison. No mystery in this announcement and doubt the coaches here figured he'd be a Jack

Eck just tweeted that we landed another one. He also used the #7for17. I'm assuming this means we have 7 verbals for 2017. That means we are still missing the Iowa lineman, the Arizone defensive lineman, and the newest verbal. Very cool!

One of the hardest working kids you'll ever find. Very smart and is an excellent tackler. The sky is the limit here with Reece. Stopped playing summer hoops to concentrate on football this year.
