(Just have to kid you. I do appreciate your research on Davis. It is always intriguing to find insights on future opponents.)
Have you ever known a Bison fan who never bragged about the successful football program? Only my significant other who lives west of Fargo and hates football with a passion and she could care less about NDSU, but then she was born in Norway. She is not a big Jacks fan either. When SDSU loses she always tells me "Poor Husby".

Davis looked pretty lethal when he was in High school and if he played JUCO, he no doubt has improved.

Tickets for the Kansas game showed up today. Says there is parking in lot 90 by basketball arena. We plan to be there by six to tailgate. Anyone else going to tailgate there?

I placed a thread in the "Lounge" section titled "Sports-betting Primer". In it, I pasted a post "Vegas 101" penned by yotemeal on the GoYotes.net message board. It's a good explanation of what the heck is going on with sports betting and since it's applicable to more than just football, I placed the info in the Lounge. Those trying to figure out the gambler's point spread on the KU game etc., may find the post enlightening. Here's a link to the thread:

That is a nice little betting 101 write up. If you are looking to use the odds to determine the percentage chance that a team has to win the game, such as what percentage chance Vegas thinks that SDSU has to beat Kansas, you can throw the numbers into the calculator in the link below and it will spit out the win probabilities. This calculator takes out the vig (the margin that the casino adds). So, if you were to enter -210 and +160 into that calculator, it will spit out 63.79% and 36.21%, which means that Kansas has a 63.79% chance to win and SDSU has a 36.21% chance to win, according to Vegas. I hope this tool helps you understand the numbers better. If you have any more questions, let me know. Unfortunately I know all too much about sports betting.

Thanks, Cappinhard. I'm going to copy your post and add it to the thread in the lounge. I'm not a gambler but am interested in understanding how the numbers are calculated etc.

Visit with KULaw, but that is a good distance from the football stadium. I would suggest you park near the stadium on a side street and join several tailgates going on much closer. There won't be many people where you are thinking.

This is correct. You don't want to park way over there. It's a long way from the tailgate scene that would be more enjoyable. You could do as YFE says or you could bring your own tailgate stuff and set up on the Hill overlooking the stadium. You'll need to drive up to the area and carry your stuff a little ways, but it isn't terrible. We did that 3 years ago and it was great.

I can't go this year. It is an utter travesty.

ESPN's in-house metric for projecting game winners, the Football Power Index ("FPI"), gives Kansas a 62.9% chance of winning.

From KUSports.com (can be found on the Lawrence newspaper's website, LJWorld.com, too) a column today with the columnist's guesses on the KU depth chart.

One more interesting article on KUSports.com: the defensive ends (KU's Coach Beatty has been talking them up a lot) want to set the team record for sacks:

Finally had a chance to look at a parking map and that lot is a long way away. We'll take your advice and try to find a spot closer and bring our stuff to the hill. I saw on the map there may be parking on the street close by. Is that available on game day? We may need a Sherpa to help haul the tailgate stuff up there.

I am planning on going to KC Friday night and driving over Saturday morning.
Any help with what section to get tickets in would be awesome. Going to be 2 adults and 3 kids for sure.
                                Thanks
