Rabbit's getting shafted in polls.

I'm not sure if any of you guys have seen the polls yet, but most are having the Rabbits hovering around the #10 spot.

Pretty bull**** if you ask me, I'd say you were a top 5 team this year, especially after Sumner was back to help in the playoffs.


Hope everyone is staying warm in the offseason - looking forward to coming and Tailgating a 8-9 short months from now in Brookings!

Meh. That's about where I'd peg us as well. Thanks to regionality, we weren't able to prove anything otherwise, IMO.

Yup. Exactly.

We lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Even if we think we are better we aren't gonna get national recognition by losing in the 2nd round.

I think we are what we are and in the end who cares about a postseason poll, but it gave you an opportunity to come on and share your fourpeat tagline.

We lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Even if we think we are better we aren't gonna get national recognition by losing in the 2nd round.

I can see us being ranked there because we lost in the second round but if I was voting in the polls, I might look into it more than that. Sam Houston State moved up 13 spots(to #6) for there playoff run but they lost @NDSU by 32 points. We lost @NDSU by 3 points and had the lead with 1 minute to go. Who's game is more impressive in your mind?
SDSU just had to go and play the champion in the second round because of it's location. If they seeded to playoffs then I would probably go more with the team that made if further deserves to be rated higher but the way they do it has teams playing each other in the second round that really shouldn't be playing each other that early in the playoffs.
One of their loses was to Southern Colorado. I think they won the DII national Championship so they are good but should they have lost that game? I think they lost that game by about 17 points. Southern Colorado won there playoff games by margins of 3, 3 and 13 points in the Championship game. Does that mean that every team that makes the DII playoffs could be a top 10 team in the FCS? I know this is taking it a little far but it is just stuff to look at. Unless you don't factor in the whole season in the poll.
I really don't care where SDSU is rated but this is just my opinion on the final rankings.

It's lazy slot voting. Take the last teams standing and work back, no matter which team might have had an easier path. After watching SHSU get trucked by NDSU, just one week after NDSU squeaked out a win against CCU and two weeks after squeaking it out against us, does anyone really think SHSU is a better team than CCU or SDSU? I sure don't. However, I believe the polls reflect that. Again, lazy slot voting.

Take a look at the Coaches Poll. It's garbage. Worse than the Media Poll.

Woah, why all the malice? I realize we're rivals, but I wanted to point out that you guys got shafted by the National Media. You were our hardest opponent in the playoffs minus the Title game. Also, I didn't once mention the team I cheer for, yes my Avatar and Signature make comments about them, but I came here to talk about the Jackrabbits, and how I believed you guys were a better team that everyone was giving you credit for, and it's bull**** that you had to come to Fargo due to stupid regionalization.

You're 100% correct KULJ. If you go by slot voting the Rabbits would possibly be even lower in the rankings, thankfully not EVERYONE slot votes, and I know I personally had you guys ranked 5 in my AGS poll. I would have loved to have seen SDSU have the Redbirds spot in the playoffs, how sweet would an SDSU vs NDSU Title game have been?
