Huge sigh of relief. When he locks on, it's game over. I especially liked that he was able to dominate big guys on the line and get to the 2nd level and control the speedsters out in space. That's tough to do.

You can never say for certain how kids are going to pan out as college football players, but on paper (and video), this is a huge loss to the recruiting class.

I'm also curious to see where he ends up (hopefully it is a P5 school).

Todays recruiting, with social media, committing early creates so much unnecessary drama. It puts pressure on 18 year old kids to make decisions early.

Edit: On USDs message board they said he just started following a bunch of USD guys/coaches. This is correct. It'll be interesting to see if USD stole one.

I am interested, but I think have to get to the point where I ignore it until it is over and worry about who is on our team. So many players come and go leave after semester, year end, grades, etc..
You never know who is going to be good or not, to underscore this, look back at the 2007 recruiting rankings: #1 Jimmy Clausen, #28 Cam Newton, 2 Star recruit JJ Watt.

It's crazy isn't it? I read this thread from time to time but with football especially soooooo many recruits never pan out it's not really worth my time to get too invested.

Completely agree. Didn't even know who this kid was at all until he decommitted. I think another reason I haven't followed it at all this year is because Terry covered it so well.
