Jay McKinstrey is Noah's coach. He has very high praise for him. I know Jay very well from his days in NW Iowa. His testing numbers are unreal. Noah has a tough decision to make. He has 3 ex hs teammates already at Iowa. Gray shirts are not as appealing as many people think. As a PWO he can come in and workout in early June and even enroll in classes. Many times, like Vande Berg's situation, a scholarship opens up and they are able to join the team in August. NDSU is very much in the picture as well. They are coming in to visit him as well. His film reminds me very much of Snyder's film. His qualities of being very smart, instinctive, tough, and demonstrates great leadership. He would be on the fast track to play at SDSU. He is physically ready to compete.

Are you sure? It must be so easy to get him to sign with us. I guess I'd like letters of reference from his initial daycare provider, 3rd grade girlfriend and the state representative from his district.

Jeez it's like we haven't offered him anything. What more do we need to do? I'm pretty sure if he's been offered the coaches are doing whatever means necessary to try and get him to be a Jack.

An offer that was on 247sports recruiting site that I just noticed. This RB was offered last May.
Darrynton Evans, RB out of Florida verballed to Appalacian State. Had an offer from the Jacks.

In Zim's article today he mentioned Stig said their was 6 spots yet to fill and that they were done with WRs and safeties.

Also when I was looking at 247sports recruiting page it had QB Alec Cromer listed as a TE.

I was looking at the SDSU team commit list were it lists him as a TE. Either way it will be interesting to see where he ends up. http://sdstate.247sports.com/Season/...otball/Commits

Interesting indeed, based off his HUDL I'd be hard pressed to move him. Unlike Cam Jones and Jimmy Forsythe he truly shows as a pro style passing QB. I realize we have controversy enough at that position but my uneducated eye says keep him at QB but I'll trust the coaches to put him in the best position to be successful.

My impression is that Alec and Kanin are both being brought in as a QB, but have the size and athleticism to move to a different position if that doesn't work out. No inside information, just my interpretation from what I have read.

Heck, I believe Cromer was all-state Nebraska as a punter (and you can see why from his HUDL video), so there should be options for both if they loss ground on the depth chart at the QB spot.

My impression is that Alec and Kanin are both being brought in as a QB, but have the size and athleticism to move to a different position if that doesn't work out. No inside information, just my interpretation from what I have read.

Heck, I believe Cromer was all-state Nebraska as a punter (and you can see why from his HUDL video), so there should be options for both if they loss ground on the depth chart at the QB spot.

I believe Kanin would be the better of the 2 to transition to another position. His body, frame and athleticism translate well to WR but I also believe he was an excellent safety too. Not sure if he has the frame to get to 250# to make TE though. He's enrolled as far as I know for the spring which I think is great.

I hope so, that kid is relentless regardless of where the play is. Knock one guy down move onto the next, plays to the whistle. His goal seems to be to beat the guy across from him into giving up.
