      This tangent has taken the discussion away from something incredible for SDSU football: we have nine verbals on July 17. The earlier commits are typically the one's the school wants more as well because that's who we offer first. This recruiting class is on FIRE! The coaches need a large pat on the back for the work that they have done so far. The way they are selling the program and facilities to get recruits couldn't be much better. Young athletes from around the nation know about and want to be a part of jackrabbit football. It is frustrating with the lack of coverage and that we only know the names of half the commitments, but this recruiting class is shaping up to be something special. Of the verbals we know, we have a decent mix of offensive and defensive positions. I'm getting excited for the season much earlier than in years past because of the recruiting that the coaching staff has done. Can't wait for September 5th or to have these boys competing in the program.

              Jared Bubak (nephew of former coach Jay Bubak) now verbals to Arizona State. Was a Nebraska verbal and then reopened his recruiting. The Jacks was his first offer.

                            He seems to be a rather highly touted recruit. He had numerous offers with a few from Valley schools like ISU red and NDSU. It is always nice to take a recruit from conference foes.
