I just saw on Twitter that Shak Taylor, who transferred after his freshman year, has signed with Kansas after a year at Mesa Community College.

Shak played against KU in our win their last year.

another interesting tidbit is one of his teammates at Mesa was JT Nettleton, who verballed to SDSU but instead took a greyshirt to UNLV. I believe he was in 2014 class.

I talked to Isaac Wallace about him. Isaac didn't recognize the name, but said he is at every practice in street clothes. His guess is that it was some eligibility deal from high school. If that's the case, he should be eligible at semester. This happened to Malik Bondon last year; he ended up being kicked off the team during that time. Hopefully Smenda can stay out of trouble and be ready to go for spring ball.

He played against poly #34 and I see him on the sidelines today

IDK any specifics, but there are creative ways schools use to keep their roster at certain levels. He could have been a red-shirt/grey-shirt, could be a media guide fumble, or who knows. He might not of qualified, where he is on the team, but not on the team, it could be many things.

maybe wasnt able to make it too camp or until the start of the semester so maybe didnt get on the roster on go jacks yet?

Did Freshman Austin Smenda leave the team or not end up coming? Don't see him on the roster.

He is listed in the online media guide as #95, but that could have changed in the past couple of weeks. He was tweeting about the Jacks during the Kansas game so who knows!

Sounded like the Nebraska Jacks did well at the Shrine game. Workman had two forced fumbles,Bubak a recovery, Lewis a TD reception and Clark dominated on both sides. Clark was also the Nebraska Male athlete of the year. Need to make sure we keep Dan Jackson around. Guy does a great job recruiting. Listened to him on an Omaha radio station and he made a point to single out Christion and what he brings to the table. If Lujan stumbles even a little don't be surprised if we have a freshman QB starting.

I will say that Sam appears to be a different player than his brother. Zach is fast, but not as quick. That is why he was more of a one cut downhill runner. When I watched Sam's highlights, I thought he looked quicker than his brother, but lacked the power that Zach has which allowed Zach to pick up yards after contact. Even though the two are brothers, I feel like comparing Sam to Zach as a running back isn't fair. Sam is a completely different player. IMO he has more wiggle than Zach and reminds me more of Isaac Wallace than Zach Zenner.
