Update: I was looking at some online pics and I think I was wrong, but the material used for the west facing exterior of the upper levels for the stadium does match the material used on the SJAC below the windows.

Maybe I am rong but it looked like the dark gray "siding" below the windows on west side had a jagged and unfinished look. It made me think that perhaps they were adding something to tie together the look if the 2 structures. I wish I would have snapped a picture.

Have changes been made to the exterior of the SJAC recently? (See JackrabbitGuy's post just above.) Any posters in Brookings who can give some explanation?

Drove through Brookings this afternoon. The stadium really sticks out now, impressive to drive toward from Medary.
Also, it looks like they are finishing the Indoor Facity with a gray siding similar to that on the stadium exterior. Really ties the two buildings together.

I sat next to one of our biggest donors at the Summit League tourney. He told me that the Luke Bryan concert was not the administration's first choice for an opening event. He rattled off just some of the events that were considered, but they couldn't make happen for one reason or another:

1. The Nutcracker on Field Turf.
2. The knighting ceremony of Sir T. Denny Sanford.
3. Meet the man who met Andy Griffith.
4. Trump v. Clinton debate billed as "The debate at the Dyke".
5. The premier of 30 for 30: The TOB story.

Because a country concert on a Thursday night in Brookings is the same thing as we fest. That's like comparing Royal River casino to Las Vegas because they both have slot machines.
