Me too, not bad, but $75 a ticket? Seems like I saw more than artist at the Sioux Falls Colusiem for less than five bucks. Ginger Thompson's father Veryl owned KISD and brought Grand Olde Opera stars to Sioux Falls. Long time ago. Now there are all these promotors who demand their cut so tickets are overpriced.

The majority of SDSU students will have a blast at his show. His shows are a big party (but not in a bad way), they are fun, and his music is....well not bad, but it's not country. He is very very popular today and will have no problem selling out the Stadium. Getting him to open up the stadium is actually a pretty big deal.

I love 90s Country (Garth, George, Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Clint Black, etc.), and listen to a LITTLE bit of new country. Before Luke Bryan was "popular" I was actually a pretty big fan of his. His music from about 2005-2010 is actually quite good, and could be considered country. His music from about 2010-Present day is garbage to put it nicely. It does not resemble country, it is glorified pop music. But he is popular, sells out everywhere, and is a millionaire- who I am to tell him his current music isn't as good as his original music?

One of my favorite "modern day" country songs is one of his called, "We Rode in Trucks." I'm sure a number of people on this forum can relate to the lyrics of the song. *Note, this song came out before the big bro country movement where every sang mentioned a truck!

there was a country and western show at an iconic NFL stadium last summer. the arrests and ejections were record setting. drunk, fighting and the list goes on and on. the concert goers were drunk before noon and it went down hill from there. good luck with this show.

It's a Thursday night in South Dakota. There will be lots of drunk people, maybe a fight. It'll be alright.

It's a Thursday night in South Dakota. There will be lots of drunk people, maybe a fight. It'll be alright.

I thought Saturday night was alright for fighting.

Kind of curious......is the insinuation that this is what happens at every country or western concert? I've been to plenty and never witnessed it at all.

Because a country concert on a Thursday night in Brookings is the same thing as we fest. That's like comparing Royal River casino to Las Vegas because they both have slot machines.
