When it rains, it pours...., this has been a really awful month for Jackrabbit FB. Kudos to the Bison on a trio of outstanding recruits. I really thought Menard would end up at Minnesota.

NDSU football is a runaway freight train right now.

It's amazing, no matter the coach or sport, Minnesota will overlook the talent in their own backyard.

Minnesota has a limited number of scholarships (around 15) available ,so at this point they probably aren't going to commit to someone who basically only has FCS offers. Not to say he isn't a great prospect , but they are going to be selective with not many spots open. Jerry Kill has done better getting the top in-state players than the previous staffs.
A pair of Sioux City East players have been offered. The first is SDSU's first true WR offer in 6'1 190lbs Ronald Nash and the other is 6'5 225lbs DE, Chase Kern.
Nash already has good size and great speed, his measurable and abilities are a lot like Aaron Rollin's out of HS. If he chooses us I think he could compete for some early playing time. He also appears to be our only known WR target with an offer so the coaches must like him.
Jacks have picked up a verbal commitment form Lincoln, NE Safety/Running back Makiah Slade. He blew up on the recruiting scene after he camped at SDSU and ran a 4.48 forty and jumped 39 inches in the vertical. He has a nice frame to put some more muscle on to go with his great athleticism. So far we have 3 commits, all athletic D-backs. This is a great get.

Saw Nash play in a game early in the season. Great hands and REALLY good speed. He had a game a few weeks ago where he had 21 catches for 220+ yds.
I've finally updated the first page with all of the recruits. We have had much more interest than I can ever remember before and I had to delete another previous post I had to create more buffer space to fill with recruits. Thanks BigGoosie for all of your updates and to everyone else who has kept us up to date with recruits.
So far, it appears that our commit list is turning into North Nebraska State with the number of recruits filling in from south of the border.
For sure 5/6 commits are defensive players and it wouldn't surprise me if Isaac Wallace ends up as a LB in this class rather than a RB. The staff is really targeting defense.
