If you have the proposed practice facility you could play the spring game in there if you had to, have the spring practices in there, etc.
I sure you are right on that point. I was merely expressing current thought and feelings of the AD, who no doubt can change his mind. Maybe there are ways of clearing snow off the field turf without ripping up the rug. I dunno about this kind of stuff.

Like others have said the indoor facility can not be built quick enough. It will change a lot of things. Close the gap on field and track, indoor and outdoor, with USD and NDSU.

Per the coaching staff, the Spring Game has moved to Saturday from 2-3:30 at Harrisburg HS. Probably won't have the same feel, but that is the current plan - weather permitting.

According to GoJacks.com, the event in Harrisburg is a practice/scrimmage open to the public. The way I am interpreting the release, is that the date of the Spring Game is still yet to be determined.

If they get those 2 practices in at Harrisburg then they only have 2 practices left in their 15 practice max. So I would think their will be no formal spring game. They may be treating the 2nd Harrisburg scrimmage as their "spring game".

This senario is quite possibly the case. It may be the closest thing to a spring game the football team has this year.

Re: Spring has sprung......Spring Ball 2013

Change of plans again for tomorrow's practice: "Instead of practicing at Harrisburg High School as announced earlier in the week, the Jackrabbits will now hold workouts in Sioux Falls at Bob Young Field, which is part of the USF Sanford Sports Complex located at 69th Street and South Cliff Avenue. The team will practice from 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with a scrimmage scheduled for 4-6 p.m. Both workouts are open to the public."

Re: Spring has sprung......Spring Ball 2013

Caught part of the late afternoon practice/scrimmage in Sioux Falls. There was no snow on USF's field, but it was a cold and wet day. It felt like late November. A big share of the audience (including me) whimped out and left well before the practice ended. The weather didn't seem to bother the players, though. They seemed to be having fun. Sumner took part in warmups and drills, but not in the scrimmage. The QBs and RBs wore yellow jerseys and didn't get hit during the scrimmage. Offense vs. Defense. No score was shown.

The 5th installment, this time about the Runningbacks......http://vimeo.com/64822967

This spring ball and last spring ball/fall camp just shows that you can never have enough depth at runningback.

Also it was nice to finally hear Coach Mckissic-Luke talk.....we have to remember he chose us just as much as we chose him.
