Whenever I think of this game, I think of the 2008 New England/Giants Super Bowl. New England dominated the regular season and was ranked the #1 team in the NFL. On the last regular season game, New England beat the Giants by only 3 which gave the Giants some confidence. Giants were the second to last team to get into the playoffs in the NFC as a wildcard and I think we all know how the second game they played turned out.

Another example of a 2nd meeting in the play-offs would be last year's BCS title game between Bama and LSU. LSU had won the first meeting. They came to the championship game looking to be coronated, against this vanquished opponent. The Bayou Bengals got manhandled and whooped at their 2nd home the Superdome in New Orleans.

Here's hoping that the Hundering Terds expect the Jacks to assist in their coronation. Jacks get that illusive W in Fargo. IMHO winner tomorrow will be playing in Frisco.

So now you are comparing SDSU to an NFL team and situation. So far in this thread the biggest thing your most recent posters are hanging a win for tomorrow on is the second game win for the looser of the first game theory. Now who is grasping for straws. NDSU is better than SDSU in most categories on offense and defense, we have already proven that we can beat you with our win a earlier. Where can you prove that your team is better than us where it counts.

So now you are comparing SDSU to an NFL team and situation. So far in this thread the biggest thing your most recent posters are hanging a win for tomorrow on is the second game win for the looser of the first game theory. Now who is grasping for straws. NDSU is better than SDSU in most categories on offense and defense, we have already proven that we can beat you with our win a earlier. Where can you prove that your team is better than us where it counts.

Neither teams defense is likely to give up TD's in the redzone, especially not the Bison.

The Jacks are statistically better in the red zone for defense, and by a ways. The strength of the Bison D is not allowing teams into the red zone. Your team has quite the stout red zone d, as was proven on our first offensive drive last game. 3 yards out and you stopped us.

I would like to get this out to the SDSU fans for the record. I myself do feel that both the Jacks and the Bison are good football teams. And without a doubt, SDSU could win the game tomorrow. SDSU in my opinion is behind NDSU but not by any drastic amount. Playoffs are a whole different beast and NDSU has experience in that area and it gives them a advantage there. I am not sure of all of your offensive stats, but if there is any advantage for either team I like NDSU by a slight edge. And I give the defensive edge to NDSU as well, but must admit that SDSU is closer than I would like in that department. I think SDSU has an edge on us in special teams from what I can gather. I think if both teams play to their ability, NDSU wins. But if SDSU plays the game of their life we can be beat just like any other team. I am pretty sure that the combination of variables play in our favor with NDSU winning what will be a very close game through the first two and a half quaters and us pulling away some to win 33-13.

Then maybe you should check out the posts on Bisonville after we lost to ISU-B. Almost every NDSU fan congratulated them on a good win. If you win I will be one of the first people to congratulate your team for showing us up.

Just wanted to stop by and wish the Jacks luck for tomorrow's big game. Each side throwing out statistics and history means squat as these are the playoffs and each game is different and its impossible to predict if NDSU comes out tight/nervous or if SDSU will be able to come out and not be intimidated (it is the playoffs after all). If either side gets a big play to go their way early, that could be the momentum needed to win. I'm definitely not overconfident in NDSU's chances as Jensen has shown he is good for a mistake or two and most of you saying that the pressure is squarely on our shoulders are correct. Hopefully its a good, entertaining game with neither side able to gripe about the zebras! I'll say NDSU 13-12 because unless there is a defensive or ST TD, I just don't see a lot of points being scored against two very good defenses. Good luck!

There you go! The final score tomorrow will put an end to the nonsense I am reading on this post. Both teams are playing well. The Bison deserve the repect they are getting as the favorite. That does not mean the Jacks will not win this game.

The people that will have the most fun will be the players. Games like this are truely why they play the game.

Good luck to both teams and whomever wins will certainly represent our conference extremely well.

I compared the situation because it was very very similar and the Jacks don't have to be a better team. They just have to be the better team on that day. Bison might win the majority but that doesn't mean that Bison wil be the better team on Saturday. Do you really think the Giants were better and more talented than the Patriots? No they just were a better than on that day
