      The UNI loss hurt. Kick the crap out of the OVC champ and head to Fargo. The reality is we are the one team that will not be intimidated by the Dome or the Bison.

      By the way, I'm confused by a comment I keep seeing from Dom Izzo. SDSU has no quality wins? If we don't, then who does NDSU have a quality win over besides SDSU? An 8-3 ISUR? Seems to be a wash with our win over ISUB on the road (whom the Bison lost to, at home). Or are they claiming Colorado State as a quality win? CSU would be a mid-pack MVFC team this year.

        The thing is, you have to win the games that are on your schedule. We lost to a BAD Kansas team, NDSU won over a BAD Colorado St. The simple fact is that they won and we didn't. Doesn't matter if they would be good or bad in the MVC.

        However, other than CSU I get your point over having similar schedules.

          Yeah, I don't think any Bison fans are real thrilled with the bracket either. So for sure one MVFC team will be eliminated in the round of 16, even though we both have the talent to make a deep run. Meanwhile, EWU gets a team like Colgate, and we all know that talent level. Obviously I want and expect the Bison to win, but it sucks playing a conference team - a good one - in our first game. Sheesh.

            Truly the time to go 1-0 is here....that's it! Am I the only one that wants another shot at the Bison? It was some fancy footwork on the NCAA committee to get it so MVC teams could knock each other off and save some travelling bucks.....

              I like having another shot at the Bison. They're an excellent team and I thought that we'd be facing them in the playoffs anyway, may as well be early.

                Yeah I understand what you're saying, but .... would you rather be ISU-R right now? Would you want a bye and go on the road to face Appy St or would you want to play at home and then go to Fargo? I'd choose the former due to us not being intimidated by the dome or the Bison. Let's worry about beating EIU before we worry about the Bison, though

                    But first thing you need to look at is head to head. Also look they got shutout by S. Ill and beat by Mizzu State, and lose by 18 to NDSU. I would say it their first two losses were worse then their out of confrence wins. But heck Colgate lost to the bottom team in our confrence and it not even listed as a bad loss.

                    It is what it is, noone knows us so we just need to go out and earn the respect. People may remember the first playoff appearance by SDSU. I sure do, still think heads should have rolled.




                    We go out and win our first playoff game, we get a free Buffalo hunting trip up in North Dakota (win that). Then our next game will be against Wofford/New Hampshire who are evenly matched.

                          I see a lot of people talking about how the Jacks have seemed to get "screwed" by the selection committee. They put us in the playoffs, I don't consider that getting screwed. When a team (SDSU) doesnt have a signature win then that same team can't have a bad loss (UNI). That loss hurt the team much more than the Kansas loss. Don't forget that we were one totally unexpected drive (SIU) away from not being in the playoffs at all. We should count our blessings, go out on Saturday and win, then talk about how to clean up our game going into Fargo.

                              Exactly. If anybody should feel like they got screwed, it's NDSU. They were the #1 seed and will potentially play an arch rival in their first round game. Meanwhile, on the other half of the bracket, #2 seed EWU gets to play the winner of Colgate/Wagner. Keep in mind that USD's one win was over... Colgate. And Wagner won the NEC, beating powerhouse teams like Bryant, Sacred Heart and Stonehill. What a joke.
