According to a retweet of Jason Jewel by TV the Jackrabbits extended and offer to a safety named Nick Farina from Desert Vista in Phoenix today. Not sure if he has been mentioned before or not.

What an exciting defender. Lets hope he takes our offer.

Why haven't we heard of an offer to this kid yet? I would think he would be close to option #1

According to Argus Leader Article today, he (Nate Gerry) has indeed received an offer from SDSU.

I would think Gerry would be in the same class of athlete that would warrant an offer.

We don't know he doesn't have one, maybe he hasn't chosen to let it known.

I remember watching him in the state championship game this year and thinking that he reminded me a lot of Brock Gentile

It is interesting how out of state/region recruits often get offers before in-state/region recruits do. It is not just an SDSU thing either, it happens at Nebraska too.

While I'm excited to have an offer out to Matt Brindley from Tucson, I would think Gerry would be in the same class of athlete that would warrant an offer. To date, USD is the only school to have an offer out on Gerry. I can see when (and if) offers roll in from Big Ten schools it will be difficult to follow suit and make an offer. Nagy seemed to take a more agressive approach in offering area underclassmen early in hopes of staving off offers from the big-time programs. We don't see that happen in football like we do in basketball.

South Dakota St. has offered Brophy LB Andrew Curtis he is from Arizona..... I saw it on Twitter from a scout guy
