I saw Braun mentioned on twitter as well from another person. Said South Dakota St had offered as well as Adams State out of Colorado (a D-II RMAC school) and that he had 4 offers total.

According to Kyle Sheehan's twitter, we have offered his brother's friend Blake Braun (I would guess as a S or LB) out of Redlands East Valley HS in Cali.

Dalton Douglass a QB from California committed today, another one who has an offer is visiting this weekend.

Both are more of the dual threat/athlete type of QB, so I'm not sure if a possible position change could happen, This recruit mentions on his video that he would play WR or RB

I would guess from looking at his stats and watching the video that we more than likely recruited him as an athlete rather than a quarterback.

What's the scoop on recruiting in Iowa this year? I know we've made huge in-roads to recruiting in Arizona, Chicago, and have even solidified our base in Minnesota, but are we losing our focus in Iowa?

I was looking at our recruiting list and noticed that of the pending offers thus far, we have 1 offer out to ATH - Trev Hadachek, 5'11" 170, La Porte City, IA (Union) http://bit.ly/ycpzH0 and one other offer to a linebacker from Des Moines who chose to play for the Hawkeyes instead. Are numbers down in Iowa or have we lost coaching staff members that had strong contacts in Iowa?

It has been fun to watch the Jacks program grow in the DI era not only with success on the field, but a recruiting base that goes from Arizona to Wisconsin. Are we losing focus in former hot beds like Iowa or are there not enough quality players to support three DI programs in Iowa plus a national recruiting pull?

Currently, in western Iowa we are currently showing interest on our fan board to a linebacker and a safety from Spirit Lake. We also have interest from 3 players from Muscatine, Iowa which is between Iowa City and Davenport. For all of our recruiting on our web page it involves 7 Iowans for 4 communities. That is not a very diverse sampling of players in Iowa. I will note that normally each year our signing class has numerous players that are not featured on our fan board.

I don't know the reason, but I've noticed that we haven't recruited Iowa as hard as we did 5 years ago. I assume the coaches we had than had better connections in Iowa, or maybe the coaches didn't feel they were having very good success. I know that we've put more emphasis on neighboring states Illinois, Missouri & Nebraska than we did 5 years ago.

I guess I would rather get quality out of Iowa than quantity. McCabe looks to have strong potential at the next level. I'm curious why SDSU and USD were the only two to offer. Judging from the highlights, he had plenty of success on UNI's field.

The Lincoln Journal Star listed their Super State and All-State teams on Monday. While SDSU has no commits yet from the Husker state, we have a couple of offers still outstanding that made the Super State team. Players from all classes are named to the two Super State teams. It would be similar to the Argus Leader Elite 45 team.

Both players are being recruited by the Coyotes. The Coyotes are interested in McNitt as a dual threat QB.

I would be thrilled if the Jacks can keep their pipeline of quality players from Nebraska coming north. The Bison have made in-roads in recent years and I would hate to lose our advantage over this recruiting area. The Coyotes used to have success in this area too, but have not won many battles against the Jacks in recent years.

Seems possible somebody was trying to get a little recognition. Perhaps raise some interest in theirselves?

IDK, it just seemed odd all the way around, stated he was signing with the team this weekend but not playing until 2014, from Georgia, everything I can find (and its not much) has him as someone who is not even close to a D-I recruit (though that doesn't mean much). IDK its possible, it just kinda seemed odd.
