    Re: New Uniforms

Awww... you even included his age! LOL

Seriously, though... I'm not a fan of the dark numbers on dark jerseys... From a broadcaster's standpoint, that's one of my biggest pet peeves, and it causes me mondo headaches. Otherwise, I like the design.

All it is missing is a small, "Property of NDSU" patch on it. Otherwise, not bad.

I like 'em. I especially like the white tops with blue pants, but the blue tops with yellow pants are sharp, too. They have a little flair, but it's not over the top at all. They're the nicest jerseys I can remember us having. In my opinion, anyhow. The only thing I'm not too keen on is the font used for the numbers. Aside from that, I approve.

I like them as well. I even think the blue/blue combo looks good and I'm usually not a fan of the solid look at all.

              Re: New Uniforms

i guess the plainer the better. The solid blue with yellow numbers no white outline( think the numbers pop more when its yellow on blue with no white around it) with all yellow pants and no other color I think has been our sharpest uniforms that I have seen. I dont dislike them but not the sharpest look we have had. I wonder if they are going to wear the blue jersey and yellow pants at home still or is that special game stuff like hobo days I think I like the all blue better now then the other smurf pants they had for awhile at home. I do like the blue pants white jerseys for the road. the white jersey and yellow pants is too dull for watching needs more bold so the blue works perfectly with the white tops. Anyway, as long as they get back to winning form I really dont care what the uniforms look like. I just perfer the tradition plain look.

                OMG they have stripes!

I really like them as well. I'm sure there are people that share Goon's opinion, but I am not one of them. I honestly think they did a great job of modernizing the jerseys while keeping them pretty traditional. No complaints from me.

there are probably plenty who agree with you but I don't. The uniforms look sharper to me with out the extra striping and such. I guess I am just old because I perfer tradition over modernizing uniforms looks.

                    Re: New Uniforms

I just assume the helmets still have the interlocked SD and are basically the same. I do like trim around the numbers. Just my personal preference, though, as I think it makes them easier to read and see.

I'm with you goon. The simpler the better.

Plus, the font is ugly as sin.

Geez, I think those things are pretty darn sharp. They've been modernized but still keep some of the traditional feel to them. This UA partnership is going to be a very good thing for SDSU.

I'm ready to move forward and put the struggles and disappointments behind us and come out swinging this year. Let's get the indoor facility money raised and put our program on a par with the best in every aspect.

I was also curious to see if there was going to be a black uniform. UA has done that with a number of FBS teams. That would really get the traditionalists going. I'm happy they didn't go there. Don't mind it for basketball though.

They could wear pink unitards if they won every game for all i care about what the wear. Yea i like the modern look, but understand why tradition matters (ei Alabama football). I think SDSU is going more contemporary is to continue to try to catch eyes and build the program and brand from a commercial standpoint as well as on the field performance. They have to maximize their return on everything they do, as their athletic budgets comparatively to other FCS schools is modest at best.
