Ya ya may be a bold statement but you don't see or get a 6'5quick 235 pound quarterback that can throw read coverage have the poise and keep plays alive like he can plain and simple. Go ahead argue your point but anything you may find to say negative you aren't a true football or jacks fan.
What were his first words? Did he have peanut allergies as a child?

That's quite the bold statement yourself. If he wouldn't have redshirted his freshman year, I think you'd maybe be on to something. He's not going to waste a playing year to transfer to another school. No inside info here, but it wouldn't make sense.

I was actually worried about Wolters because of this issue. He could burn his redshirt year to transfer up to a better program. Sumner has used his, so I don't see this as an issue and it shouldn't even be talked about.

You spend far too much time on BV.

I think he is trying to say he won't be available on Saturday's because he will be to busy on Sunday's.

Let me add on to my previous comment. In no way shape or form did I ever think that Nate was going to transfer. I'm just pointing out that it would make much more sense than Sumner doing it because of the loss of eligibility. Same goes for Dykstra.

I think he has a lot to work on before he leaves early for the NFL. I'm surprised that's even brought up. How often does an FCS player leave early for the NFL? Taiwan Jones did correct?

To me I don't think the QB is or has been the problem. I have heard good things about Kline, what that means? IDK.

But I don't think now is the time for a QB controversy. What happens next year happens next year.
Have you seen Sumner play during this stretch? No disrespect to TOB, but Sumner did things in his second game that TOB wasn't doing in his third year: Extending plays with his feet while looking downfield to find a receiver, for example. Taking hits to make a play in the passing game. Finding a second or third receiver. I liked TOB a lot. But Sumner has a lot more presence in there. I haven't seen that kind of confidence from a QB since Berry.

Sorry I struck a nerve. Holy nutmeg indeed! Looks like it got some talk going. Kline is a good recruit.

Watching Sumner play is 100 times better than watching TOB play; however, those 4 ints. were not pretty last Saturday. The end zone Int. was inexuseable even for a freshman.

The comment was not to disparage Sumner. It was to point out that in order to get better, the Jacks need to recruit better. It is quite possible that Kline will become better than Sumner and the Jacks indeed did accomplish this at a key position. Maybe Sumner will start for the remainder of his career and indeed skip his Senior year and play in the NFL? Not sure were that point came from. Lets see Sumner get the Jacks to .500 before we start annointing him. He may very well do it. I think Sumner should have started ahead of TOB this year and said so in past posts. That doesn't mean I said he walks on water.

Kline runs faster than Sumner and Kline passes very well. Competition is good for the team. I was disapointed last Saturday when Sumner got run down from behind by the NIU defense.

I still don't understand what is so bad about asking how do you know Kline won't beat out Sumner for QB? Kline is dressing as the emergancy QB. Give him next year to develop and the Jacks may well have another QB controversy in a good way.

PS. Sumner would make a great DE ala Jake S.

Kline seems like a really talented kid. You can never have too many good QBs.
