Great news for Batten. I looked at the Bills depth chart and was excited to see him listed second behind Shawn Merriman. He was listed 3rd on the chart before.

We received the last quarter on the CBS outlet in Colorado. Batten made a nice play on a kickoff and got a mention. I have to say, the Bills are fun to watch. Ryan Fitzpatrick has matured and looks pretty comfortable in the pocket. I don't think I've watched an extended Bills game since the Jim Kelly days, this offense reminded me of those old Bills when they could put up a lot of points, fast.

According ESPN Shawn Merriman is ruled out for the game against the Giants due to a Achilles injury. Looks like Danny Batten will be starting on Sunday!

Not sure how much Batten is making but $15,000 fine cant be fun to have to pay.

Danny played pretty well I thought. Finished with 5 tackles with 3 of those solo.

Got mad at the announcers today when they credited Wilson? (37) with a tackle where Danny flattened the runner. Was fun to watch him. Had a lot of football to watch today, so recorded the game and then just flipped through to watch the Bills' defense.

I was flipping back to watch the Bills D as well, even though I had a fair amount of fantasy players playing in the Packers/Rams game.

Re: Batten in a numbers game

Visited with Danny in the tailgate lot before the game. Very nice young man who had some interesting insight about the Jackrabbit teams he played on as well as some of the recent teams and the coaching staff. Signed posters for a bunch of the kids at the Yankton tailgate site. He certainly has a lot of support from our group and there are now a lot more people paying attention to Buffalo Bill games in SD.
