If he is elgible and interested, I have to imagine they would give him a try during Spring ball....unless we are just coming off a National Championship? Then he may want a break.
yeah he can play, I've been told he is interested, but hasn't made a decision. Was also told he had more offers from bigger schools for football then for basketball but he had verballed for SDSU over the summer and they backed off.

I talked to Dale a couple months ago and he told me that he was going to play WR next year. Now, I haven't heard any references from the coaches about it but my assumption would be he has talked to them about it. I can just imagine throwing it to him in the end zone. How do you defend that? Might be like another guy with a similar last name but with all the extra baggage.

Maybe someone that watched him some in high school can chime in on how his speed and hands are at WR?

Dale Moss was one of the best high school wideouts I have ever seen. I was very surprised he chose basketball. It would be great to see him give football another try. He had all the tools.

It is the offensive lineman that is by far the best group on offense that is returning. If TOB or QB play does not undermine their success, SDSU OL will make everyone look good. Mark my words! Go Jacks.

"Some guys showed their true colors," Stiegelmeier said. "We lost that football game, we lost a bunch of stuff and their spirit in the locker room was, 'Such is life.' It wasn't a big deal."

This better change, for me to be optimistic. Very disheartening stuff.

TV did his usual fine yeomanship in writing this article. It gives us insight that we might not otherwise have. Our coaching staff I feel is dealing with the situation in the best manner possible. Attitude adjustment is needed, and it will get done.

Why even post it in the first place?? Sounds like and in house issue to me.. If the players don't buy in put someone else in to take their place. This is done at every level in sports and doesn't get posted in the paper. Makes the coaches look bad, makes the program look bad.

If fans and the outside did not see or hear about changes that need to be made, if they were kept quiet, fans might assume nothing is being done to correct it. They are not throwing out names or kids under the bus. Just that they are going to reevaluate last year as they make changes going into next year.

Fans don' t need to know about that kind of stuff imo.. Stigs a great guy and an awfully good coach but made a rookie mistake allowing this stuff to get to the media.

To me, all he was saying is we had mediocre play and we are not going to accept it, they are going to talk to every to make sure everyone is on the same page. I think its a good move. Maybe there are guys who don't think they were "doggin it" if you will, but maybe hearing a little pep talk about expecting more and rising to the level could do many of them good. I think his intent is to not worry to players, but to let the fans and media know that they will not accept being complacent. I have no problem with this what so ever.

The coach handled matter fine. Loyal fans could sense there were problems. I'm glad the coach acknowledged the issue and took it on honestly rather than deny or bury the truth. His honesty and sincerity set Coach Stig apart from many college coaches.

I understand what you're saying but loyal fans also know that we won 5 out of our last 7 games and Illinois St. is the only game that we really should have won in our first 4 games. We have good coaches but we were outcoached many times including that Illinois St. game and at Indiana St. Everyone needs to be held accountable and I'm sure Coach Stig knows that..

When you drop from a 7 or 8 win season to 5 wins, unexpectly then there is something wrong and boy after the ISU Red game, I really started to wonder and after ISU Blue, I was mad as hell and after the NDSU game I really hoped at the end of the year that the staff would re-evaluate what went wrong this season. Granted there were new faces, but I dont think that was the entire problem.
