Other than a couple passes TOB looked real good. I was impressed. Still focuses a little much on his first read, but he looked real good today.
The ONLY thing I wish our offense did was run more play-action. For how much and how successful we are running the ball, you think that we would run more play action. The only time I remember doing it is on the TD to Cochart in the first half on the boot leg.
Not much to complain about though. I had a blast today, and tonight should be good as well.
Go Jacks and Happy Hobo Day!!!

I liked the boot leg call in that situation - TOB ran it really well with good deception - made it look really easy.

I think this is a problem most quarterbacks have no matter who they play for, BCS included. Try watching 5th year senior Adam Weber for the Gophers play once. He's a master at locking in on just one receiver. I too would like to see TOB scan the field more, but he is in the majority of D1 quarterbacks who need to improve in this area. I'm a huge TOB fan and thought he had a nice day today.
I agree totally with the idea of more play action passes. I'm surprised we don't do it on a regular basis with our dominating running game.
Overall, the Jacks looked very good today. On several plays, everyone in the stadium knew that Minett was going to get the ball, and he still ripped off impressive runs. What a player. TOB looked good, too. Nice win, Jacks. Hopefully Kool isn't seriously injured. He dinged up a knee or something near the end of the game.

Yep, absolutely nothing to p&m about in that game....except maybe the long snapping again, and Kool leaving injured. Stig said postgame he's not a doctor, but he's almost certain he'll be out next week.

Nice win today. Offense has come a long, long way. We looked good, though it's a good thing the Penguin QB is very, very inaccurate downfield. They could have had some biggies.
The head-scratcher of the day was then YSU had the ball on its own 1 and we had single coverage on their best receiver...and maybe the best athlete on the field. We gave up 30 yards and thankfully no more.
Great day to be a hobo...great win!
Grumbling along and embracing my role. If I didn't care, I wouldn't care. Go Jacks!

I believe their QB (Hess?) is a freshman, and other than the accuracy issues downfield, I thought he played pretty well.
Dude will throw a lot of td's for YSU in the next few years.

Nice game...what great weather, too. I wonder how many stayed away out of concern about rain? Crowd: I think they said 14,6++...just shy of 14,700. If weather.com would have predicted decreasing clouds throughout the afternoon, that crowd would have been well over 15,000.

FWIW we were down on the field after the game and asked Kool what happened and he said it was a minor tweak and they threw the brace on just ti be safe. We'll see.
