My wife is in grad school and money is really tight, she was a USD grad but still we found we were able to get the season tickets, we wanted to get in now before it gets even bigger rush. It is nice having tickets and same seats everygame. Plus then we are already inline for the new stadium, how ever long away that is.

Yeah I'm too busy with school for a job so I don't have income except for my loans. I also live 4 hrs away making it even less manageable. However, I'm not married and I'm dating an SDSU grad so I do have those two things going for me!

I always heard this from students back in the day too...they didn't want to arrive an hour early before the game to ensure a spot in the student section so they didn't have to stand. Now on the other hand, I've never agreed with this excuse myself. But, if we want to continue to increase attendance and boost the fan base in general, getting more casual student fans (and more casual fans that aren't students) to the game is where we would need to start. And a bigger stadium with better guaranteed seating is a necessary part to that.

And if students don't want to go because of overcrowding, I would bet way more casual fans don't go because of it.

I'd say you're right. Who wants to stand five rows back for three hours to watch a game? On those big games, take a good look and there are people at least five deep standing around the chain link fence. That's just not very fun.

Especially if someone is bringing their family and kids. Thats even less fun when its packed that tight and the kids can't see.
