Men/Women 2nd to U of M at Oz

The XC teams competed friday late afternoon/early evening at the U of Minnesota Oz Memorial. Both teams finished second to the Gophers. Other teams included Drake, NDSU, and Mankato.

Talked a couple guys on the team. Reported some decent performances but not everyone was happy with the way they ran. The men have some quality depth this year and if they can run poorly and still place relatively well, they could make some noise come conference meet time. The women don't have as much room for error. It will be vital for both the men and women to stay healthy this year.

I'm excited to see what these teams can do this year. Although we should expect the unexpected, at this point I expect the men's team to finish higher than fifth at the Summit League Championships.
