The men and women opened their cross country season at the Bison Invite in Fargo this afternoon (8/31/07). The Jackrabbit men won the team title (results: http://www.gobison.com/downloads1/23...00&SPSID=11967 ) while the Jackrabbit women finished second ( http://www.gobison.com/downloads1/23...00&SPSID=11967 ).
Summit League rival NDSU won the women's division while the NDSU men finished third.
One of the top Jackrabbit runners, Caitlin Berry (QB Ryan Berry's wife) had a great summer training but didn't run in Fargo. Women may have won with Caitlin. [Caitlin ran at a meet today in Western Illinois after watching the football team last night...Western Illinois is hosting the Summit League Cross Country Conference Meet this fall so Caitlin was our advance party, scoping out the course.
