The SDSU men had their best finish ever -- sixth out of 26 teams -- at the Midwest Regional Meet with both Trent Lusignan and Joel Reichow, the winner and runnerup in the Summit Meet, qualifying for the national meet. Lusignan finished 5th and Reichow was two seconds behind in 6th. Outstanding performances -- both under 30 minutes for 10k [most of the readers of this message board cannot THINK that fast, let alone run that fast )
Below is a link to the story on GoJacks.com...but it was not determined at the time the story was put together whether Reichow also qualified. Now the NCAA site states Reichow also qualified.
Results are linked in the story. Look at the other Summit teams in the region, USD and NDSU, and keep in mind they are pretty good teams and then think how SDSU did in relation to those conference mates and the other powerhouses in the region. Good job by the Jacks!
The women had a tougher time, finishing 17th out of 32 teams (still, not a bad performance). NDSU's outstanding runner, Teschuk, the Summit League champ, won the regional meet. She's a Canadian national champ.
