  • NCAA Midwest Regional

The Jacks Men and Women will be competing tomorrow in Peoria, Illinois. The women's 6000 meter race starts and the men's 10000 meter race starts at 12:15. The men are ranked 11th in the region and look to upset Southern Illinois, Nebraska and Kansas who are ranked 8th-10th, respectively. The women look to match or beat their 16th place finish from last year. Each team's front runners, Michael Krsnak and Erin Hargens, look to place high and possibly gain an individual qualification at the National meet in Terre Haute next Monday.

Via text message. Jacks Men 8th and Krsnak 17th. The men beat teams, kansas, nebraska, and so. illinois who were ranked ahead of them.

If Iowa state who finished 4th get into nationals as an at large bid. Then Krsnak will be going to nationals.

I think the real question is, why do we care who is the best on campus?

I don't know if you can really answer that question. there are so many variables that could go into it, including: sport, strength of schedule, concepts, etc. Football, basketball, and baseball are a lot different then cross country. But as previously said, we shouldnt be saying who is the best on campus, but rather be glad that our teams are doing so well against other schools in the summit and mvfc
