    Slugging Percentage-9th
    OPS- 6th (this os OBP+SLG)
    Batting Average-4th
    Runs Scored-4th
    Hits-4th
    Doubles-3rd
    Runs Batted In-4th
    Total Bases-5th

    National Individual Rankings:

    At Bats -1st (Billy Stitz)
    Hits -3rd (Stitz)
    Doubles -1st (Joel Blake)
Runs Batted In -5th (Eric Cain)
Earned Run Average -3rd (Trevor Vermeulen)
    Appearances - 10th (Vermeulen)
    Runs Allowed -2nd (Vermeulen)
    Earned Runs Allowed -3rd (Vermeulen)

I don't think any other school had this many top 10 stats.

A lot to be proud of from this team and a lot to look forward to next year.
Yes! A very good year for Jacks baseball. BTW, Great job fans at the Summit Tourney. The SDSU fans were vocal, passionate, and positive about the team, even during the two ORU games.

Jacks lose a couple of the pitchers, but neither Vermeulen nor Treinen are seniors. I believe none of the leading batters were seniors.

Hope SDSU can find a place to host the baseball tourney. The home field advantage defiinitely helpd the Eagles get that 13th straight title.

When you are talking about batters, it depends on if you are referring to those with national rankings. Actually our leading hitter this year was right fielder John Lee who hit .406 for the season and carries a 3.89 GPA in Chemistry. John will definitely be the senior player who is missed the most next year.

Chemistry was always a tough major at State. Know Dad did his best to challenge the students! Heck part of the reason to take engineering!

Congrats John on a fantastic season, and your blog at GoJacks.com. It has been fun to follow this Jacks baseball team.
