Congrats to Ritchie and the boys on the first win of the year!

Baseball and the nice weather Brookings had today makes me thing Spring is right around the corner. Can't wait to get out to the Erv this spring and watch some baseball

If Jacks pitch all year like this watch out. Murray State put up 32 in a three-game series the week before and was undefeated coming into the weekend. Go Jacks!

Don't want to take anything away from the Jacks BB win over Murray. But Murray put up all those runs against Lipscomb which is now 0-7 I think.

However, I am hearing that our Jackrabbits are going to be very solid this year. They finished the year strong last season. Pitching like usual is the key and the Jacks must stay healthy as we are not especially deep.

Great opening series Jacks and good luck the balance of the season.

Great series against Murray, and beating a team that beat Don Meyers old school before coming to NSU, might not say much to some, but to win a series to start off is a very good sign in my book. Look at the schedule its a tough one and its a long time before they play the first home game. Next game to morrow in Lincoln Nebaska against Huskers. They must not have much snow down there.

Oh for a thaw in SD.

Actually Nidaros, the game with UNL has already been postponed until March 16. Weather related but much better for the team as they weren't even due back from Murray until about 9 AM this morning. That weekend they are in Minneapolis so will be back in Brookings decent on Sunday night.

Was excited to see the Jacks off to such a great start!! Murray State may not be a top baseball team, but having the Jacks jump right out in the first series of the year, and their first games, sure provides a little confidence. Can't wait to see them play again this year. Go JACKS!!

Murray has actually been picked to win their conference by some, and College Baseball Blog had them listed as a pre-season tournament team.
