Now the wait begings to see if Tony Martin can get picked up by someone.

Regardless, this is 3 years in a row for a Jackrabbit to be drafted, gotta like the direction the program is heading in!

As a kid, my team was the Milwaukee Braves (I still have my cards...lots of Hank Aaron, Warren Spahn, Eddie Matthews et al). I'm joining JamesJacks...back to being a Milwaukee fan!!

JD, you are dating yourself by naming all those Milwaukee Braves.

                  Re: MLB Draft

                  Summit Players Drafted this year:

#83 RHP Gerald Sullivan -Oral Roberts to Padres
#179 LHP Mark Serrano -Oral Roberts to Reds
#346 RHP Andre Lamontagne -Oral Roberts to Brewers
#556 LHP Caleb Thielbar - SDSU to Brewers

It's no wonder Oral Roberts repeats as conference champ year after year.

Also Korby Mintken is playing for class A Lakewood Blue Claws and is batting .260 in 50 at bats. Looks like he is playing a utility role.

Craig Parry is waiting for his rookie league season to start, which should be in a couple weeks.

I can't find anything on Jake Rogers for 2009. I believe TV said he was injured in one of his live chats.

Only an old guy like you would recognize some of those names.

I'm one of the fortunate guys whose mom didn't toss all of his baseball cards; and, I didn't use all of them in the spokes of my bike.

I know from a reliable source that JD is "just" middle aged...BTW, all my baseball cards went in the trash when I moved out. Stupid!!!

                        Re: MLB Draft

I know these aren't SDSU players but Chris Kessinger, graduated from SF Washington and pitched at UNO, and Ryan Hander, a Lincoln grad that is going to Nebraska next year, were both selected in the draft today.

Kessinger in the 37th round to the Mariners and Hander in the 39th round to the Dodgers.

That must have been one rough chat.
