2007 Baseball Schedule Released

BROOKINGS, S.D. -- Three home weekends and 15 games inside the state highlight the 2007 South Dakota State baseball schedule.

Head coach Reggie Christiansen announced the schedule Wednesday, which includes home series with North Dakota State (Apr. 6-8), Utah Valley State (Apr. 13-15) and IPFW (May 12-13) at Bob Shelden Field in Brookings.

The squad will also play a weekend series in Rapid City with fellow Division I Independent Northern Colorado. The three-game series at Floyd Fitzgerald

Stadium is slated for Apr. 20-22.

The Jacks will again play two midweek games with the University of Minnesota - Apr. 18 in Sioux Falls and Apr. 25 in Minneapolis. . . . (read more)

Slight change, the Jackrabbits will kick off the season with Big XII member the University of Kansas.

Baseball will now open at Kansas

South Dakota State baseball coach Reggie Christiansen announced today that the Jackrabbits will open the 2006 season with a three-game weekend series at 2006 NCAA Tournament qualifier Kansas, Feb. 9-11 in Lawrence, Kan.

SDSU was originally scheduled to travel to Kansas Apr. 10-11, but those games have been cancelled in favor of the three-game opening series.  .  .  .  (read more)

Oh, GRR! Snookums and I have made arrangements to be in the Big Apple that weekend (SDSU-N.J. Tech men's basketball, dont'cha know) that weekend. Oh, well . . . we'll be warmer in Jersey, I imagine . . .
