Two outs in the bottom of the 9th, runners on 1st and 2nd with the tying run at the plate. ORU goes to the bull pen again in the 9th.
The top five batters in the lineup have gone 1-14, the 6-9 batters have gone 6-14. Some games are like this. You just hate to see it happen in the tourney.Comment

Just like that the season is on the line. Win this one. Survive and advance. I know the tournament isn’t in South Dakota next year but it will be nice to have the event somewhere besides Tulsa. Very difficult to win in the their place. Impossible? No. Difficult? Yes.

Jacks scored 8 runs in the last two innings to advance with a 9-5 win over WIU. Omaha edges ORU, 3-2.
Stage is set for the next elimination game in a couple of minutes between SDSU/ORU.

Two infield hits have runners on the corners for the Jacks had them in position to score in the bottom of the first. However, a rally ending double play ends the first frame scoreless.Comment

Lead off walk and a 2 out ground ball base hit yields the first run to the Golden Eagles. Jacks go out 1-2-3 in their half of the 2nd.

ORU scores another run in the 3rd off a pair of hits. Froom is up to 47 pitches after three innings. SDSU has had 7 batters in a row go down.

Froom gives up two more singles in the 4th, but both runners are stranded. Isaac Coffey has now shut down the last 10 Rabbit batters and he hasn't had to go deep in to many counts.

ORU gets another hit in the top of the 5th, but no runs. Spencer Hinson is not hurting the Jacks today after going yard twice yesterday. ORU announcer reports that he leads all of D-1 in slugging percentage.
It's looking like we missed a golden opportunity in the first when we had two hits in the first inning and failed to score with runners on the corners and 1 out. Since then, we haven't touched Coffey as he's shut down 13 batters in a row.

Froom has had a gutty performance and gets his first strikeout to end the Golden Eagles half of the 6th.
Nice start to the 6th with a lead off single by Luke Ira and nearly a bunt single just rolls foul by Badger that would have placed two runners on with no outs. Beazley rips one up the third base line, but McMurray makes a nice play to get the force at 2nd. Nick Smith gets a single to left to get two runners on. Gus Steiger delivers a third hit of the inning, but Beazley is out at the plate and it wasn't even close.
