They did a good job on the first game. Of course, watching the Mississippi State games on ESPN3 will be excellent. Going to be tough games for the Rabbits as MS is very good.

Playing MSU is a first, and they are very good, and have had several Major Leaguers come through Starkville.

It has been a tough start. We lost a huge number of pitchers, with a lot of experience, and it is going to take some time to get that in place. Defensive errors, and ineffective hitting when we had runners, led to a bad showing in Wilmington. But the last game had some good things happening: Eldon Evans, picked to be our fourth pitcher, turned in a pretty good performance, as did freshman Will McAffer in relief. Schrage shook up the starting roster and that might shake up the rest of the team a bit. But they will have their hands full in California, as Sac State beat LSU and Auburn, and will be a real test.
