Still stinging a bit from the loss Tuesday evening. With that being said the conference baseball season opens up today in Omaha. The Rabbits enter the contest 7-6. They've been scoring some runs which is a positive. Omaha enters the series as the preseason pick to win the win. Hard to believe by ORU is not the preseason pick. Omaha enters the series 7-8. Hopefully the pitching get off to a good start.
Each conference series this year a three game series. Coach Schrage has been quoted as saying he loves the change to the three game series. Each weekend you have a winner and a loser. Hopefully this weekend will be 2-1 Rabbits.
For the Sioux Falls alumni you'll have a couple of chances to catch the Rabbits in Sioux Falls this year. In late April they play Creighton at The Birdcage and the Summit League Championships return to Sioux Falls again this season.
