I don't think SDSU can claim Jerry Crider. Jerry is the same age as I am. He passed away in 2008 and was a member of the South Dakota State Hall of Fame. If he had attended SDSU even briefly, it would have been mentioned. Dutch Haaland and Denny Moeller teammates of Crider attended and graduated from SDSU, but almost certain Crider did not. Seems like he got drafted right out of high school and was in the minors for a bunch of years before playing with the Twins just one season and then was traded to the White Sox.
