Be nice to finish the Omaha series with a win and then get 3 or 4 out of next weekend against WIU. GBGBGJ

Omaha takes two today from the Jacks and we go away with a split.

Only played 1 today. Split the series. though.

I was wondering about that. I saw only one score, which would explain playing one game. Most are double hitters, but not this time.

Conference games always (?) are one game Friday, doubleheader Saturday, single game Sunday. But not next week (up at NDSU) as the last week before the tournament, they always play a single game Thursday, doubleheader Friday and single game Saturday. Tournament will kick off on Thursday of the following week.

As for the tournament, we are in a bit of a pickle, as our hitting has been sporadic, and lacking a lot of times in the clutch situation, and our pitching has really been hurt by the loss of 4th starter Kolton Emery, and Joe Erickson, who would have moved into that spot, but also is out with injury and is done playing for this year. In the tournament, deep pitching is often the deciding factor in a double elimination format. In addition, #2 Chris Anderson got hit on the hand by a drive up the middle on Saturday, and his status is uncertain (at least this week). Western Illinois will come in with two of the best pitchers in the league. Bray will start the series off, and I certainly hope Anderson can be ready for the second game.
