One Week From Opening Day

First pitch is one week away. Excited for another season of Rabbit Baseball. Predicted 2nd in the preseason poll behind Omaha. It will be interesting to see how this team comes together. Losing your top two pitchers is never easy. Should be fun!

Join you in looking forward to getting the baseball season started (even though basketball and wrestling are keeping me pretty darn occupied at the moment)! The southern swings are always tough for northern schools who haven't been able to progress as far as the schools down south. But it will be a good test and help get some progress for the players. GO JACKS!!

No question it's difficult to get out of the gates fast. Records can be deceiving when the conference season starts. Teams can get off to really slow starts and be trending up when the conference season gets here. Hopefully the Rabbits can use this time to answer some questions put in place by graduation and win some games along the way.

It will be interesting down the road when the indoor facility is complete to see if the team is on a more even playing field at the beginning of the year. Here's to a return trip to the NCAA's in 2014.

The extended forecast for Jackson is for highs in the mid to high 60's at the end of the week.
