Schrage is a heck of a guy and with plenty of experience to keep this program improving. But this may not be the year to do just that. You don't lose a major league pitching prospect, the best reliever in the upper Midwest and beyond, the career home run hitter, and several other great players, including a very fast center fielder, and replace them right away. We have a ton of younger pitchers, and only one senior on the mound, so I think we will get there. Watch for some very good pitching from Layne Somsen and freshman Adam Bray, joining Steven Bougher, who has started out very well. Hitting wise, we will miss Stitz, Sawyer and Blake, but we still have a lot of firepower back. GO JACKS!! -

Couldn't agree more. Lot's to replace but once this team makes it to conference play they should be fine. I've been told by a non-SDSU coach N. Colorado is aweful. This weekend may tell some of the tail for the rest of the season. Looking forward to heading down to TD Ameritrade in a couple of weeks to see the team play. Go Rabbits!Comment
