Briggs strikes out looking. Couldnt take advantage of a lead off hit.

End of 12 still tied 3-3. Had a lead off double amount to nothing in the bottom of 12.

And Southern Utah blew a three-run lead in the eighth and ORU wins on a wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth in the first game of their DH. Darn.

Oru wins second game 1-0 in ten innings. Still need to keep winning and catch a bbreak.

Interesting factoid about the Dons baseball team...they start 8 seniors and one freshman (at SS). And of the six pitchers with 25 plus innings, 5 are seniors and one junior. Plus of the pitchers with less than 25 innings, several are seniors. Wow!!

The pitcher they brought in as the final reliever is listed as an outfielder, and is a freshman. He got one out and then threw four straight balls to walk in the winning run (plus the fourth pitch was hard, down and away and couldn't be handled by the catcher, so would have been a wild pitch scoring a run if it had been an earlier pitch in the count).

Hope to get two more today...think we will get the first game in, with the second just a little more iffy according to the forecasters. GO JACKS!

Jacks win game 1 (Friday) 10-0. Treinen complete game 5 hitter. If Jacks win series finale and ORU loses at least 1 of last 2 versus S. Utah, the Jacks would win league outright and have option of hosting next years tourney.
