Former 17pt/g Fr from STM Andrew Rhode back in portal after 2 years at Virginia. I check on his stats periodically. Last season he averaged 4.3 ppg in 25mins/g but shot just 29%, 25.7% from 3. This year he's averaging 9.3pt/g on 43.2% (41.3% from 3) while averaging 31mpg

Good question, he's been 'passed over' twice, and stayed and been the good soldier.

Things I have heard through the grapevine... that the players want Coach Pete. (but this was last year.)

Is that really our goal? To only compete in the Summit League?

Not saying he wouldn't be a good addition but if he wasn't from Sioux Falls would he even be on our radar?

Based on how Cluff performed this year we have a pretty good sales pitch to pitch to any portal big man. I'd much rather have someone like Cluff that is ready to come in and provide big time contributions.

I know nothing about JT Rock but other than being 7' what has he proven? Based on how much he played this year at Iowa State I'd have to think he'd be a project.

Lots of men's movement today. Isaiah Carr (Denver), Mier Panoam (UND) and Babacar Diallo (KC). Also, DeAndre Craig from Denver announced earlier in the week.

As noted by OldHare, for those that opt-in, men's increased from 13->15. Women remained at 15.

The new wrinkle on this one is revenue distribution. Wisconsin as an example is already saying they're going to be giving their team less than some of their other women's programs (9% for wbb was the recommended model by the house), so that's causing them to run into issues with their coaching hire.

It may have helped increase for men up to 15. The WBB is not likely increased. Football at the FCS level may have seen the increase. AJ is not likely watching the portal so much as the player he would consider would require NIL cash similar to those available prior to 2023-24 season.
