Summit League adds Weber State and Northern Colorado for Men's Golf

I find it odd that Weber State and UNC would add Men's golf to Summit League. They are already in the Big Sky, why join the Summit? UNC is now an affiliate in Baseball and Men's Golf. Maybe they will move everything over eventually.

I believe only four Big Sky schools sponsor men's golf. They may be looking for a more stable home for that sport.

Big Sky conference had just 4 schools for men’s golf (UNC, Weber State, Sac State, and Idaho).

I suspect this has to do with access to post season tournaments.
