Oral Roberts, Valparaiso selected to participate in 2007 ESPN BracketBusters series
ELMHURST, ILL. — The Oral Roberts and Valparaiso men’s basketball teams have been selected to represent the Mid-Continent Conference in the fifth annual ESPN BracketBuster series, which will be televised by ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN360 on Friday, February 16 and Saturday, February 17. The Golden Eagles will serve as a home team for the first time, while Valpo will be a road team this season.
“The Mid-Continent Conference has been making steady progress in its efforts to upgrade the sport of men’s basketball,” Mid-Con Commissioner Tom Douple said. “We are confident that Oral Roberts and Valparaiso will provide fans across the country with an exciting and entertaining brand of basketball to watch.” . . .
