    Beran has played well against the Bison in the past and both him and Berte will make us much better next year. I'm anxious to see how this shorthanded team will be able to matchup against the Bison this year. It's going to be difficult in Fargo, but anything can happen at Frost and it has in the past.

    ABOUT THE BISON: North Dakota State is 10-6 after an 88-47 rout of Division II University of Mary on Tuesday night. Andre Smith scored a career-high 30 points on 12-of-16 shooting to take over the team lead in the scoring column with a 16.6 average. NDSU had a season-high 44-22 rebounding advantage, led by Smith’s nine and a career-high nine from Sam Sussenguth off the bench. Sophomore forward Lorenzo Riley made his first collegiate start in place of center Lucas Moormann, who is out for the season with a torn right ACL suffered in last Sunday’s practice.
