Bison Begin D-I Independent Schedule Saturday at Winston-Salem State
ABOUT THE BISON: North Dakota State is 10-6 after an 88-47 rout of Division II University of Mary on Tuesday night. Andre Smith scored a career-high 30 points on 12-of-16 shooting to take over the team lead in the scoring column with a 16.6 average. NDSU had a season-high 44-22 rebounding advantage, led by Smith’s nine and a career-high nine from Sam Sussenguth off the bench. Sophomore forward Lorenzo Riley made his first collegiate start in place of center Lucas Moormann, who is out for the season with a torn right ACL suffered in last Sunday’s practice. NDSU will dress only eight players with reserve forward Tom Lunde still on the shelf with a sprained right wrist. . . . (read more)
