According to a poster over on the Bison board Tom Lunde # 0 Forward  Height:  6-8   Weight:  224 is no longer on their team, and Lorenzo Riley # 20 Forward - F Height:  6-6   Weight:  210  will miss the first half of the season due to grades.  Please keep in mind that at this time this is just board rumors.

Men's Basketball Forward Tom Lunde Ends Playing Career

FARGO, N.D.--North Dakota State men’s basketball forward Tom Lunde will not continue his playing career with the Bison in the 2007-08 season. NDSU head coach Saul Phillips made that announcement today.

Lunde, a 21-year-old from Ulen, Minn., suffered three concussions during his two seasons and missed 33 of 56 possible regular-season games due to injury. He averaged 7.0 minutes per game in 15 appearances off the bench.

"I’d love to keep playing," Lunde said, "but the possible consequences of another concussion are far outweighed by finishing my education and protecting my health." . . . (read more)

Backup forward declared ineligible

Lorenzo Riley, a backup forward for the North Dakota State men’s basketball team, has been declared academically ineligible for the first two months of the upcoming season.

“I can confirm that he will not be eligible for the first semester,” Bison head coach Saul Phillips said. “I’m optimistic he will be back for second semester.”

Riley, a business administration major who will be a junior next season, plans to practice with the team. He cannot, however, compete in games in November and December.

A 6-foot-6, 210-pounder from Platte City, Mo., Riley averaged more than 12 minutes per game the past two seasons. . . . (read more)
