  • Summit WBB OOC 2020-21

This is an abbreviated OOC. It does have some good games for the women. Omaha played ISU and they will play Northern Colorado today. ORU played Arkansas and will play Ok State today. The Roos played Bradley. Denver played and beat Air Force. Coyotes played South Carolina and they will play Gonzaga tomorrow. WIU plays Wisconsin today. UND & NDSU have yet to get on the hardwood. The Roos have a couple of cupcakes on their OOC list which is not the best plan in this shortened season. The game footage I saw of yotes indicates they are looking good with Arens out for season due to injury.
Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

Looks like NDSU has possibly finally turned their program around. Impressive 17 point win over pre-season MVC #3 team UNI last night.

UNI beat Creighton 55-52. Jory Collins is doing this with starting 2 seniors and 1 junior backup. There are many freshmen and sophomores in the core of this team. Watching Jory last year in the games, it is evident he does not take losing as a habit. The next 2 games are home with Green Bay and in Ames against ISU. Those 2 games should show the pulse of the 2020-21 Bison. It is possible they surge ahead of WIU/ORU.

Nebraska spanks ORU tonight. 90-61 final.. ORU shoots 29% FG and 42% from the charity stripe. Attendance was 20 at Lincoln. ORU should have felt they had home court advantage!

Bison take care of Green Bay today. It was not pretty as GB shot 30% with 15 turnovers and NDSU shot 34% with 25 turnovers. They play again tomorrow. Green Bay picked for 2nd in Horizon.

A really busy day for the Summit women. UMKC drops one to D2 Rockhurst. Bison take care of Green Bay a second time. Omaha plays Illinois close.

It's starting to look at though the tiers of teams is starting to come into focus:

                        Tier 1) SDSU, USD
                        Tier 2) NDSU
                        Tier 3) Denver
Tier 4) Everyone else with maybe ORU being a tier below everyone

The Summit women have not had much more success than the men as they check in at 19-32 in OOC. WIU & UND are without a win in 11 games played. Omaha has a win. NDSU provides some positive play at 4-1. UMKC is 3-3 with a couple of gimmee games.

WIU wins against new D1 member Bellarmine University. They now have a win in the OOC.
Oral Roberts travels to Missouri and they lose another game 88-49. The Golden Eagles are having problems taking flight at 2-5. 0-5 on the road. The home wins are over Rogers St and Tarleton State.
