  • Women's SLT 2020

This appears the year that the tournament is USDs to lose. This is the 2nd time in 3 years that they have been undefeated in 3 years. We should also notice that the only time the yotes have won the SLT was the year they were #4 seed. I would guess the SLT has been on their bucket list as well as the regular season title. The gap between the yotes and the rest of the teams makes this tournament seem like a formality. Irregardless, the other 7 teams will arrive for the games. The first column is regular season and last year while second column is SLT and most recent year.

I think ORU won the SLT in 2008, quite frankly, is we still weren't eligible to participate yet in it (last yr sitting out), after we handily won the regular season that year and probably would of been the prohibitive favorites to win the SLT....JMO This list speaks volumes to who's been the dominate force in WBB in the Summit since they first entered it in 2008-2009.

Brian Haenchen has online article about 5 women to watch this week which include Burckhard, Duffy, Nelson(Denver), Lippe(ORU), & Sjerven. He also wrote a feature on Duffy. Argus fellows are gearing up some.

            #1 USD vs #8 Omaha
            #2 SDSU vs #7 UND
            #3 Denvervs #6 NDSU
            #4 ORU vs #5 WIU
3-6 is a bit of a draw. The bison could find some continued improvement in SF. This could be a game if they can shut down the 3's and/or slow Nelson to 20 points or less. WIU and ORU is a flip of who is shooting best. Zars could be the key to this game.

Brittany Lange was dismissed during the SLT. Omaha should find a more proven coach on this time around.

Well crap. She was pretty easy to watch on the sidelines.
