Denver is looking like a team that could surprise this year. SDSU at this point looks like the clear favorite with WIU just a bit behind. WIU decided to spend the early part of their season playing cupcakes and still have 2 losses on their schedule. They have Stanford and Gonzaga coming up to finally see what they are made of. USD looks to have fallen off the pace to this point with an average record including a 22 point loss to a team that just lost to a really bad Montana team.Comment

Omaha(7-2) plays Creighton this weekend too. (Omaha lost its first 2 games to Bradley and KState.) That would be 3 teams from the Summit playing the Bluejays. USD at 6-5 after a big loss at home to a bad Tulsa (RPI 198) team is a little bit of a surprise. I expected them to drop off a little but right now they look like a typical mid-pack Summit team.
WIU has a shiny record but has lost to the one decent team they've played (Milwaukee). They'll finally get tested at Stanford tomorrow.Comment
