Due to IPFW probation, IPFW will NOT be at the Falls this year. So, all Summit Teams not named IPFW will be in the tourney.

"As a result, the NCAA placed IPFW on probation for two years – Tuesday through Nov. 23, 2017 – and fined it $15,000. It also issued a public reprimand and censure and ordered campus athletics scholarship staff to attend an NCAA Regional Rules Seminar during each year of the probation period. The penalties do not include any postseason bans, scholarship reductions, or recruiting restrictions."

Welp, It looks like I didn't have all the facts straight. Then there will be 8 of the 9 schools at the Falls come early Mar. Fortunately, it appears SDSU should be there playing for a SL title, and NCAA trip.

I'm interested to see how the Necks' compete against the Hawkeyes.

Iowa narrowly gets by WIU 90-56 - the necks looked very sloppy and couldn't get anything going.
Purdue downs IUPUI 80-53 - The Jags played the 11th ranked team in the country tough in the 1st half (Purdue lead 38-30 at half), not so much in the 2nd.

Only two wins have come against NAIA schools. They show only ten on their roster.

WBB, UMKC beat KU in Lawrence tonight 47-44. Possibly of interest, but not worth a new thread.

HoopsHD.com had an "Under the Radar" College BBall podcast that had a nice bit about The Summit League and SDSU's chances for an at-large bid. If you can ignore the "puppet" routine, they're pretty knowledgeable about the college basketball landscape in it's entirety.

The discussion starts at 4:25 and continues through 10:05.

One game on the men's side tonight, and it should be a good one.

                                NDSU @ UND.
                                7:30 on Midco.

UND is an unimpressive 4-4. NDSU is coming off of a bad loss and is on the road tonight.
